Nicaraguan coffee delivery in San Juan del Sur

Nicaragua grows very good coffee, most of it in the northern highlands around Matagalpa and Jinotega, and it is one of the few things here that is genuinely cheaper and better at source than anywhere you will buy it at home.

Delivery from C$184 in town and C$276 to the outer beaches. Every fee is agreed before we set off.

What you can ask for

These are things we buy for you. Where a price is shown it is what we last paid for it locally, and we reconfirm it before buying — shelf prices here move. Tap anything below and we will send you the current figure. Nothing is purchased until you have agreed the total.

Buying coffee here

  • What is on the shelf changes. Small roasters come and go and a bag you loved last month may not be there this month, which is normal for a country that grows the stuff rather than warehouses it.
  • Tell us roughly what you like — dark or light, beans or ground — rather than a specific bag, and we will photograph what is actually there and let you choose.
  • If you want it ground, say what you are brewing with. Getting the grind wrong ruins good coffee more reliably than buying the wrong bag.

Taking it home

  • Coffee is the single most common thing people want to take home from Nicaragua, and the most commonly left to the last morning.
  • Order the day before and we will deliver to your hotel or villa before you leave for the airport.
  • Whole beans travel better than ground. If it is a gift, that is the version to buy.
  • Tell us how many bags. Several is normal and worth ordering as one delivery rather than realising at the airport.

What we are, plainly

  • We buy coffee locally and deliver it. We are not a roaster, an exporter or a wholesaler, and we have no affiliation with any brand.
  • That means no export paperwork and no international shipping. What we do is get it to an address in San Juan del Sur.
  • You pay the shop price plus the delivery fee for your zone. We do not mark up the coffee.
