Travelling down yourself

  • A private car is one leg, door to door, and is the sensible option arriving from the airport or with luggage.
  • The bus route means Managua to Rivas and then a second leg into San Juan del Sur. Cheap, slow, and a real change rather than a stop.
  • If you are coming from the airport specifically rather than the city, that is its own service with flight tracking and a driver in arrivals.

Sending things down instead

  • Almost everything substantial in San Juan del Sur was bought in Managua: furniture, appliances, electronics, building materials, anything ordered online.
  • Blink runs scheduled pickups, so you do not have to spend a day driving up and back to collect something.

  • Scheduled runs are much cheaper than a dedicated same-day trip. Ask when the next one is — for anything that is not urgent, waiting for it is the cheaper answer and we will tell you so.
